COVID-19 3/13/20

Dear living stones,

We’re keeping a a close watch on the news surrounding the coronavirus/ COVID-19, both locally and internationally. Our posture right now is to take all possible precautions so that we can continue to safely gather together and worship at both Alii Drive and Pine Tree Center, as well as in our various small groups. We will not be fearful, but we will be informed and prepared.

Join us this Sunday, March 15, if you are well and feel comfortable doing so. If you do not, you can worship with us at home via our livestream, which is accessible through our website (www.livingstones.us), church app, or Facebook.

To increase health measures and mitigate the spread of germs:

  • We encourage you to greet each other with a smile or wave. For the next few weeks, let’s forego the hugs, kisses and shaking of hands.
  • Doors to the main building and bathrooms at Alii Drive will remain open to reduce contact with handles and we will regularly sanitize frequently-touched surfaces.
  • Our hospitality team will focus on serving prepackaged items.
  • Overall cleaning and sanitation will be handled with extra vigilance.
  • We encourage staff and volunteers (and everyone else) to wash hands frequently; use hand sanitizers.
  • If you feel ill or are concerned about coming to services, please do worship with us online.
  • We will temporarily suspend our van shuttles to University of the Nations. Let’s walk together in wisdom through this season, exercising proper care for ourselves and loving consideration of others to avoid the spread of both the virus as well as the spread of the fear and anxiety that the virus has caused. Let’s also pray together, in the power of the name of Jesus, for those who may be infected, as well as those who are fearful and feeling alone right now. In a world full of extremes, we are called to exhibit both wisdom and unshakeable trust in our Father, who remains on His throne! Much love, Bill
