COVID-19 Update 3/19/20

Living Stones Church,

The news about the coronavirus is changing hourly and we’ll be adjusting how we do things accordingly. We intend to honor government authority and the guidelines limiting gatherings to 10 people or less, while at the same time continuing to make disciples and extend the Kingdom of God.

So with that in mind, we’ve put together this Action Plan for the next few weeks:

  1. Sunday services will be streamed at 7:30, 9:00, 10:30 am & 6:00 pm and available for viewing on-demand after that. Consider inviting someone to join you for coffee and church in your living room.
  2. All on-site gatherings for both Alii Drive and Pine Tree Center sites are temporarily postponed.
  3. Small groups that fall within the 10 person limit can continue to meet, but our staff is also creating resources to help those groups that choose not to meet physically to still be able to meet virtually. We hope to have the new process for online connections available within the next few days.
  4. The “Discover Purpose” series and mid-week study groups will be delayed until April 19, in order to revise the materials for use as an online experience.
  5. Care for the vulnerable, committing all resources (people, time, money) that are needed. We want to do all we can for the isolated, the fearful, the sick, and those lacking basic necessities.
  6. Pray! Pray for the ability to see doors of opportunity and the boldness to step through them. Pray for new ways to be salt and light. Pray for healing, protection and courage for those living in fear. Pray for the Holy Spirit to move in a mighty wave of power, bringing repentance and saving faith. Pray for revival!

You and I have been placed here by our sovereign God for such a time as this. It’s a season when we’re being reminded that the “church” has never been a place – it has always been a people. A people that the Bible calls living stones. A people through whom God desires to see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. A people who walk in faith, confidant that God is sovereign and His promises remain true. He WILL work all things together for good!

Much love,

Bill
