Hi Living Stones,
You are a person with clout. I’m not saying that to make you feel good about yourself, but simply stating a fact. A fact that carries with it a God-given duty. You see, whether you know it or not, God has given you influence that He has given to no one else. He has designed each born-again follower of Jesus to impact the world, extending His kingdom, in a way that no one else can. The real question is whether you recognize what you’ve been given and steward it well.
It’s what our new series, “Discover Purpose,” which begins this Sunday, is all about. For three weeks we’ll be focusing on how to put into application Galatians 6:4-5 (MSG):
“Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you’ve been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.”
This quarantine season is a great time to “make a careful exploration” as we great ready for what’s next. LSC Community Help Project, together with Kona Kids Outreach, continues in several outreaches to the Kona community. The next couple of days include a Friday food giveaway at Chubby’s Restaurant, where we’ll provide 150 kids meals in addition to distributing grocery bags, and another food drive on Saturday, 3-5 pm at Alii Drive, where we’ll be collecting more non-perishable food items for next week’s distributions.
