What is Alpha?

Explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting.

We encourage everyone to contribute their opinions and no question is off-limits.

Questions might include—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? Alpha is for anyone and people attend from all backgrounds, religions, and viewpoints. People come to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, the afterlife, the claims of Jesus and more.

What happens at Alpha?

Dinner Together

Let us cook for you for the night! The best conversations happen around food. Join us for free dinner to start off the evening.

Short Video Teaching

After dinner, we watch a short teaching video together. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity: Who is Jesus? Why did He have to die? How can we have faith?

Small Groups

Alpha is where you get to ask all your questions. We discuss the video and no question is off-limits. We want to hear your thoughts and discuss some of these deeper life topics together.

When is Alpha?

Living Stones Church has two sites--one on Alii Drive and one at the Pine Trees center by Matsuyama's. Both host Alpha Courses. We typically run two Alpha Courses per year: one in the fall, and one in the winter. They meet once a week and include dinner and childcare. Click on the site signup for more detailed information!
