Hi Living Stones Church,
This Sunday at Living Stones Church we’ll be starting a new series called “Valleys.” That might sound like a downer; mountain-top experiences is usually what we’re after. We prefer those high points in our lives where the air is clear and the view is amazing! We don’t like valleys so much. They represent life’s low points, times when we can’t seem to see very far ahead.
But the truth is, we learn things in valleys that we can’t learn anywhere else. This is where faith is grown, where character is cultivated, and where vision begins to take shape. It’s in the valleys that we’re tested and prepared for what lies ahead. It was in the Valley of Elah where David fought Goliath and the trajectory of his destiny was established.
So yes, good things happen in valleys. That’s why God doesn’t promise to keep us out of them even though they’re often distressing. Rather, He promises to take us through them.

Community Help Project is open for non-perishable food donations at our Alii Drive site this Wednesday, 3-5 pm, and also for food pick-up for those in need at the same time, Wednesday, 3-5 pm. “7:14 Prayer & Worship” is streamed online Friday mornings at 7:14 am. Join us as we take action on the Lord’s directions found in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
