Hi living stones,
I hope you’ve enjoyed our summer series, “A Verse That Changed My Life.” We heard some great testimonies on scripture as a catalyst for change, right? I know I’ve been encouraged to hear the different stories of how the Word has come alive bringing faith, hope and direction - as well as correction and repentance. Men’s Prayer & Worship Night is this Friday, July 29, 6 pm @ Pine Tree Center. It’s a monthly opportunity for guys to celebrate communion, humble themselves in worship, and pray.

Our final “Sunset BBQ” for Summer 2022 is Wednesday, August 3 @ 6 pm. We’ll provide the main dish (steak by Ken Churches!), side dishes, and drinks. You bring a salad or dessert. It’s going to be great!

“21 Days of Prayer & Fasting” will be August 7 - 28. It’s a time we set aside each year as a church to PRAY & FAST. It’s an opportunity to break out of normalcy, seek the presence of God, pursue fresh direction and breakthrough, and simply develop new habits. We expect to experience our prayers impacting relationships, work, family, health and every other area of our lives. We encourage you to try fasting during this time as a spiritual next step that can bring clarity and added power into your life! We’ll have further instructions and resources available at our Connection Table, website, and on social media. Also look for dates and times for corporate prayer & worship throughout the 21 days. PRAYER CHANGES THINGS! Jesus said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13)

And for the bold and brave, “8 STRANGERS FOR DINNER” is back! Watch for details and the opportunity to signup beginning next week. The idea is simple. You sign up to attend a dinner in an unknown person’s home during the week of August 29. You’ll be randomly placed in groups of 8, most likely with people you don’t know. The result - you get to meet some new people, your circle of relationships is expanded and …. your courage is tested

High School Hawi Day: Saturday, July 30 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. for students going into 9th-12th grade. We'll provide transportation to and from church to beautiful Hawi for kickball, frisbee golf, basketball, skating, food and fun. We'll also have a special time of worship, small groups and dinner.
