Hi Living Stones,
Looking around Kona this week it’s pretty clear that people – even followers of Jesus – are feeling more anxious than usual. And yet the reality of who God is, who we are, and what the future holds hasn’t changed a bit from what was true six months ago. God is still sovereign, as a follower of Jesus, you’re still His child, and His promises are still true. We’re to live with wisdom, recognizing the seriousness of COVID-19, and faith, trusting that God remains on His throne.
But it seems we’ve gotten distracted. We’ve lost the peace that comes from having our attention fixed on Jesus, and let our thinking be drawn to other things. It’s time to refocus thinking. It’s time to find our peace.
Romans 8:5-6, says: “For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and PEACE.”

- LSC Community Help Project is underway. If you’re needing help during these unusual times or want to provide help, click here and fill out one of the online forms. We’ll be receiving donated canned goods, rice, pasta, toilet paper and other non-perishable items (new & unopened only) at our Alii Drive site this Saturday, March 27, 3-6 pm.
- Kids Kingdom At Home resources are now online here or go on our App. You will find videos and activities for at-home children’s church. If you have questions, contact Karen Boss (karen@livingstones.us).
- “Zoom” technology is available for small groups to continue meeting. It has worked amazingly well so far. If you would like to get your group reconnected in this way, contact Kumu (kumu@livingstones.us).
