Hi living stones,

This summer we’re presenting you with a challenge. A challenge to read through the New Testament in 90 days, beginning June 1. It’s an intentional step to escape conformity with the world and be transformed by the renewing of our minds. It’s seeking a shift from living by speculation to living by revelation. It’s an opportunity to grow in favor with God.

Join us in this “90 Days of Increase” by picking up your free bookmark with the 90 day reading plan after any service this Sunday. You can also find the reading plan online here.  Maximize the benefits of the 90 days by:

• Reading the New Testament as if you’ve never read it before.
• Reading it out loud.
• Reading it (sometimes) with others.
• Reading it “old school” – out of a printed Bible.
• Reading it believing God IS speaking to you.

Along with “90 Days of Increase” we’ll launch a new summer series on June 7: “A Verse That Changed My Life.” Because that’s what Scripture does. History is full of pivotal moments when one verse – one sentence from God – changed the course of a person’s life. With Martin Luther it was Romans 1:17, which not only changed him but launched that seismic shift called the Protestant Reformation.

With that in mind, this June and July you’ll have the opportunity to hear a variety of gifted speakers, each testifying to how the Holy Spirit ignited particular verses of Scripture in their lives to bring change. While we may not start a new Protestant Reformation, the Holy Spirit is still in the business of igniting big changes. It’ll be exciting to see what that looks like for us!

Sunset Suppers are back! On the first Wednesday of each month we will enjoy a great meal, along with games and other activities on the ocean front lawn at Ali’i Drive. So mark your calendars now for these monthly 6 PM gatherings:

• Wednesday, June 3rd (with mechanical bull, kids bounce house & games)
• Wednesday, July 1st (with water slide and games)
• Wednesday, August 5th (End of Summer Bash!)

Main dish and drinks are provided. You bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share.

Vacation Bible School for kids K-5th grade is coming up on June 22–26 @ Ali’i Drive site. Registration for kids opens Sunday, May 31.

Mark your calendar now for a special Father’s Day with us at both Ali’i Drive and Pine Tree Center on Sunday, June 21.
