Dear living stones,

Happy New Year! As we start another trip around the sun let’s begin with fresh faith that our Father IS going to do something new in each of us. And as suggested above, He wants us aware of it. How do we do that? By intentional seeking. King David modeled it in the Psalms as he cried out to the Lord: “Teach me the way in which I should walk!” “Teach me to do Your will!.” It’s the instruction of Proverbs to “make our ear attentive to wisdom and incline our heart to understanding.” It’s an attitude of surrender; of surrendering my wants for His ways – in faith that His ways are best. And it’s coupled with the promise of God that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him this way (Hebrews 11:6).

COMING UP AT LIVING STONES:

Join us this weekend as we start the new year celebrating Communion/Lord’s Supper at all services.

“Alpha Course” begins Wednesday, January 24, 6pm at Alii Drive and Thursday, January 25, 6pm at Pine Tree Center. It’s a 7-week overview of the Christian faith, that also serves as a brush up on the basics for those who have been Christians for awhile. It’s also a great opportunity to create new relationships and includes a free sunset supper and childcare each week! Register online HERE or at our signup tables this Sunday.

If you need childcare for your kids who are 10 and under, please sign up HERE. If you’ve already taken the Alpha Course and are not in a small group, we have several options for you this winter. Check them out online HERE or at our signup tables this Sunday.

There will be a Worship Night at Pine Trees site this Sunday, January 7th, 6:30pm. These are evenings of waiting on the Lord and seeking him in extended prayer and worship.

Junior High and High School Ministries resume at Alii Drive next week, January 9 & 11. Junior High meets Tuesdays @ 6pm and High School meets Thursdays @ 6pm. Contact Jodi for more info HERE.
